THEIR STORIES

*Mishka is a hard worker. She is a widow who has four children that  she loves very much. She is thankful for Kiran because the income allows her to better take care of her family, and she feels encouraged by the people at the center. Now, instead of being treated like a servant, she is able to use her skills to create beautiful products and do work that she enjoys.

*Larisa was diagnosed with breast cancer and lost her job. Because Larisa has been rejected by her family, she appreciates the community and friendships that Kiran offers. She loves to laugh and learn new skills. The income she receives at Kiran allowed her to get the treatment she needed. Larisa is now cancer free!

*Anaya loves giving people a helping hand and lending a listening ear. She likes to learn, and she was excited to start working at Kiran after losing her previous job because of her illness. She is thankful for her husband and two sons, but she enjoys the time she spends with the ladies at the center where they all share their struggles and victories.

*Eva is a wife and mother of five. She heard about Kiran after meeting someone from Shalom. Although there is a lot going on in her life, she is determined to keep improving in her sewing skills. She feels that Kiran is like a family, and she appreciates the counsel and truth that is spoken into her life.

*Anala is the youngest of the women at Kiran, and she brings life and creativity to the center as she works at a fast pace. Along with being great a sewing, she loves to cook and paint. Instead of hanging out with the wrong crowd or being ignored, Anala is a part of a wonderful community of women who listen to her and love her.

*Kashvi wants to set a good example for her five children, Anala being one of them. Even though she suffers from severe back pain, she is faithful in coming to work each day to help her husband who is chronically ill. She feels accepted and cared for by others at the center, and she takes pride in the beautiful products she makes.
